HPC Reduces Ambulance Cleaning Times By 86%, Helping The NHS To Save Lives, Time and Money

The Defence and Science Accelerator, part of the Defence Science Technology Laboratory have recently produced a case study on HPC’s involvement in the Welsh Government’s call to action to help reduce ambulance cleaning times.

After being inundated with hundreds of products that claimed to be able to fulfill the brief, HPC’s solution was selected amongst just 12 others for testing across the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust’s (WAST) fleet.

Following the tests Hygiene Pro Clean’s solution was proven to reduce ambulance cleaning times by 86%, enabling staff to embark on other vital duties on behalf of the NHS, leaving patient vehicles not only cleaner but absolutely free from viruses and unwanted bacteria. This in turn dramatically reduces the risk of infection and the spread of viruses like COVID-19 amongst NHS colleagues and the public, some of whom may have been particularly susceptible to infection.

Using their unique atomisation system, reagent (Decon Pro Clean®) and methodology developed exclusively in the U.K. by HPC, they were able to deploy cost-effective rapid sanitisation in an environment containing sensitive medical equipment with complete effectiveness, delivering the quickest method of ambulance cleaning but also assisting in the containment of coronavirus; helping to save lives and supporting the NHS with one of the most difficult challenges it’s ever faced.
