Over the past few years, many parts of the UK have been affected by flood damage with over 800,000 homes being devastated in the 2014 winter storms, and the trend is set to continue over the next few years.
Floods often leave mud and dirt deposits inside properties along with substantial quantities of water, and if it is not treated mould and mildew can build up. Frequently a lot of attention is paid to the physical damage caused by floods, but significant health risks are also posed from additional quantities of rodents and by the presence of sewage water in the property.
